Apex Patios & Outdoors (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

We only collect the information we need to respond to you and to quote, design and build your project. This may include:

• your name, phone number, email address and suburb
• your property address and details about your outdoor space
• details of the work you are interested in, your timing and any notes or photos you send us
• records of our conversations, quotes and invoices

When you visit this website, our hosting provider may also record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We do not use this to identify you.

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you fill in our quote form, call or email us, or meet us on site. We do not buy personal information from third parties.

How we use it

• to reply to your enquiry and arrange a site visit
• to prepare quotes, plans and council or approval paperwork
• to carry out and manage the work, including scheduling and invoicing
• to keep you updated about your project
• to meet our legal, insurance and record-keeping obligations

We will not send you marketing you have not asked for, and we never sell your information.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where it is needed to deliver your project or meet a legal obligation. This may include licensed trades and suppliers working on your job, engineers and certifiers, your local council, and service providers who help us run the business, such as email, hosting and accounting providers. They may only use your information for that purpose.

Some of these service providers may store data on servers outside Australia. Where this happens we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected.

How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law, and then securely delete or destroy it.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
